Third Year At Malory Towers.
The Plot
Saddle up cos Wilhelmina (her nickname is Bill) is coming to town with her horse Thunder.
There is a newAmerican girl called Zerelda to come to Malory Towers. She makes herself look like a movie star called Lossie Laxton, by curling her hair and wearing grown up makeup. In the Third Form everyone is 14...but she is nearly 15, so she's put into Upper Fourth. Because she isn't good at her work however, she is put back down to the Third, which she is NOT happy about. Meanwhile in class time, Bill is dreaming about Thunder and is not concentrating. As a result, Miss Peters, her teacher, will not let her go to see Thunder until the weekend. Bill sneaks out after class to see Thunder. One day a girl called Mavis found a paper saying there would be a talent show near Malory Towers. Mavis has a fantastic opera voice, and goes to the talent show, to sing. It is night time when she leaves, and Bill hears groans from the stables. Then, Bill asks Darrell to go to the stables and see how Thunder is. The farrier is there, and Darrell asks how is Thunder.....and is told he has colic, which is a very bad illness for horses. She tells Bill to come and see Thunder as he is always happy to see Bill. When Bill finds out what it is, Bill insists she spend the night with Thunde as one of her brother's horses died from it. Darrell knows that miss Peters loves horses and would do anything to make Thunder alright. Miss Peters wants the vet there but the vet is away at a farm with a pregnant cow. Miss Peters goes to the farm on her horse and gets the vet to come. On her way back she finds Mavis passed out on the road. She takes Mavis straight to Matron. Thunder is saved...but Mavis' voice has gone. She can only croak. Luckily she returns to class the following week but still can't sing.

My Opinion.
I think that was the best Malory Towers I have read so far! I think Zerelda is funny. I would like to go to Malory Towers for a day or maybe 2...? I can not wait until I read the next one!

Flop And Whiskers.
The Plot.
Flop and Whiskers are two cheeky rabbits, and they are locked up in a cage and have nothing to talk about except that they needed something to talk about.
One night while their owners were asleep, a fairy carriage came riding down the hill with the most prettiest fairy you've ever seen, with 2 pixies and seven rabbits pulling it along. Suddenly 2 of the rabbits fell over and could not pull the carriage. The fairy saw Flop and Whiskers and asked them to pull. They agreed and the pixies let them out. They spent the whole night at the fairy ball and the next night at a rabbit party. And forever they had somthing to talk about.
My opinion
I thought Flop and Whiskers were cute, and the fairy was so pretty and I liked the story!

The Folk Of The Faraway Tree.
The Plot.
Join the adventures of Jo, Frannie and Beth as they go up a magical tree with friends named Moonface, saucepan and silky the fairy. This time a spoiled girl called Connie is staying with them and they have to take her with them and spoil the secret.what will happen?
at the top of the tree theres always magical lands this time it is the land of Marvels but you see the land at the top of the tree moves so if your in it you will move with it and Connie was still on it!
My opinion
I didn't like Connie and the way she acted.
As always moon-face is nice so I liked the way he acted.

Second Form At Malory Towers.
The Plot.
Back again to Malory Towers. This term 3 new girls have joined named Ellen, Belinda and Daphne. There is an awful girl called Alicia, who plays the most terrible trick with her friend Betty. Betty has a special type of chalk that is invisible if spread on a chair. One day she put it on her teacher's chair, and her teacher had a big stain on his bum!! Another time Darrell used the chalk to write "OY!" on her French teacher's chair. The second form thought they would get into trouble if any other teacher saw this, so a girl in the first form called Hilda, wiped it off her bum, (where it was after she sat down!). Towards the end of term, the girls are aware that someone is stealing their things. Mary-Lou sees a parcel of Daphne's, and decides to post it for her.
She takes the coast road, along a cliff edge, which is very dangerous. She slips!
She is not at supper that night...but fortunately Gwendoline knows where she went and tells Daphne. Daphne goes to find Mary-Lou, and gets the search party together. They rescue Mary-Lou. Darrell, Sally and Irene find the parcel and discover it has all of the stolen items in it.
Daphne owns up, and explains to her teacher that she has also been expelled from her other schools for similar escapades.
Her teacher says her classmates will decide her fate....they decide to give her a second chance!
My Opinion.
I thought that the chalk was funny and I didn't like that Daphne stole stuff. The way they handled it I thought was good.

So there's mischief at Malory Towers.
My Opinion.
It is a good book!
